After the already known reforms to the Social Security Law, the Federal Labor Law and the updates to the Minimum Wages, the UMA and the UMI, now the IMSS has released version 3.6.3 of the Single Self-Determination System (SUA), which the authority has created and made available to employers, so that they can calculate the worker-employer social security contributions, as well as the employer contributions and amortizations of workers' loans to INFONAVIT.
This new version is already available on the IMSS website and here we bring you the steps to update your SUA in order to use it for the payment of dues for the month of January 2023.
The first thing you should do is to back up your SUA information with the version you have today, which is version 3.6.2.
Steps to update SUA 2023
To do so, log in to SUA
and in the top menu, click on "Utilities".
The menu will drop down and then choose the option "Backup Information" and a window will appear for you to indicate the directory in which you are going to save the backup.
Once you have chosen the directory click on the "Backup" button and wait until the message that the backup was successful is displayed.
Once the information is backed up, enter the IMSS portal and in the shortcuts, click on the SUA icon to go to the specific page of this program.
After clicking, you will be taken to the SUA information page.
Once there, go to the bottom of the page until you find the boxes to download the update.
If it was the first time you downloaded the SUA on the computer you are working on, remember that you must first download and install version 3.5.3. and then the "patch" with version 3.6.3.
If you already have the SUA installed on that computer, close the SUA and download only the update to version 3.6.3, which is the one shown on the right button.
Finally, you will reach the section where you can download the SUA update file version 3.6.3. Click on the "Download it here" button.
Once the file is downloaded, go to the folder where it was downloaded and just double-click to autorun the file.
A window will appear indicating that the update has started running, preparing the computer for the update.
Then the welcome window for the installation of this 3.6.3 version will be displayed and you just have to click on the "Next" button.
As it is a self-running application, there is nothing to change, in fact it is recommended not to change the destination folder, to avoid problems with the implementation, so you leave the same folder that the installer indicates and click on the "Next" button.
In the next window that appears, click on the "Install" button.
And the installation of the update begins.
Wait a few seconds for the update to finish until the message indicating that the installation is complete is displayed.
And just click on the "Finish" button to complete this SUA update process.
The next step is to enter the SUA as you do every day and check in the upper bar, where it indicates the version you are working with, that it is version 3.6.3, if it is shown as such, congratulations!
You will have correctly finished updating your SUA, ready to comply with the calculation of the labor-payroll contributions under the legal parameters in force as of 2023.
What is new in the SUA 2023 update?
Of the new features you can observe with this update are:
- Updated minimum wage table
- Updated table of UMA values
- Updated table of IMU values
- Updated CPI and surcharge rate tables
