Closing Conciliation and Arbitration
Conciliation and Arbitration Boards to close on October 3, 2022

After almost a century of existence (95 years), the Conciliation and Arbitration Boards will close their doors to make way for the Federal Courts and the Federal Center for Labor Conciliation and Registration, which will begin operations on October 3.

The new labor justice system will seek to ensure that workers' disputes go through a preconciliatory process before initiating legal proceedings.

The intention is to reach simple agreements in less time.

As of October 3, 2022, the Conciliation and Arbitration Boards will cease to receive new cases, but will continue to function only to attend to their pending cases until they are concluded.

The closing of the Conciliation and Arbitration Boards is the starting signal for the third stage of Labor Justice in 12 entities where it had not been updated, including Mexico City.
